GPS position for location tracking, even when the app is running in the background, to see other participants on the map and display your position to other participants. This is a core functionality of the app and is done to fulfil the usage contract (Article 6 para. 1 lit. b of the GDPR)

Usage data

When downloading an app, the information required is transferred to the respective app store, i.e. in particular user name, email address, customer number at the app store and the individual device ID. We have no influence on the processing of this data. The operator of the respective app store is responsible for this.

Registering the account

To make full use of the app, it is necessary to create or join a group and enter a nickname.

Error analysis to improve our app

This app uses Firebase Crashlytics, an error analysis tool provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Crashlytics is able to transfer data relating to any errors that occur in the app, e.g. crashes, to Crashlytics via a Software Development Kit (SDK). The information generated about the error behaviour of this app is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Status information relating to the app and the device, operating system information, hardware information and the location of the device are also transmitted. In addition, an ID is transmitted that identifies the device. This ID is generated from scratch each time the app is installed. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate the app's error behaviour and compile reports about app crashes.

We use Crashlytics to analyse the error behaviour of our app so that we can fix any errors faster. We can use the insights gained to improve our app so that you have a more pleasant user experience. If personal data is processed in third countries (outside the EU/EEA) as part of the use of Google Firebase Crashlytics or if data is disclosed or transferred to third countries, this is done on the basis of standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission that we have signed with Google. The legal basis for storing the cookie is our overriding, legitimate interest in ensuring an error-free and stable app and improving the user experience (Article 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR). The further evaluation of data collected by Google Analytics takes place over a period of 26 months on the same legal basis.

You can also find more information on this at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ (general information on Google Analytics and data protection) and at https://firebase.google.com/terms/crashlytics-app-distribution-data-processing-terms (Information relating specifically to Crashlytics)

Storage period

We will store personal data for as long as it is needed to fulfil the respective purpose. If processing is based on your consent, we will store this data as long as you do not revoke your consent. Beyond that, we only store your data as long as we are legally obliged to store it or as long as claims can be asserted against us.

Data transmission

We do not intend to transfer data to a third country. If personal data is processed in third countries (outside the EU/EEA) or if data is disclosed or transferred to third countries, this is done on the basis of standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

Your rights

If the processing of your data is based on your voluntary consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR, you can revoke this consent at any time by sending an email to secure@poettinger.at. Revoking your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before revoking your consent. You have the right to obtain information about your personal data. Under certain conditions, you also have the right to correct or erase your data. Furthermore, you have the right to request the restriction of processing, objection and data portability, provided that the legal requirements are met. If your data is processed by us to protect legitimate interests, you can object to this as soon as your situation results in reasons that speak against the data processing.
